Ken Shulman is a veteran print and broadcast journalist with extensive experience in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. His work has appeared in outlets including The New York Times, Newsweek, The New Yorker, CBS/60 Minutes, National Public Radio, the BBC, and PBS. He is creator and Executive Producer of “Away Games,” a television travel show and learning platform about sport, politics, and human rights, and the author of “Anatomy of a Restoration,” a book about fresco restoration in Italy. A Cambridge resident, Ken is past president at Boston Jewish Film and directs their School Initiative to Combat Antisemitism Program. Ken is also a Jewish Big Brother and a reading and writing tutor at Cambridge Ringe and Latin High School. Fluent in seven languages—he claims to be the only American with even a working knowledge of Sardinia’s arcane luogodorese dialect--Ken attended Newton North High School, is a graduate of Middlebury College, and holds a Master's degree in public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, where he was a media fellow.
Ken is an avid cyclist, an eager musician, and enjoys, along with his wife Francesca, spending time at their Wellfleet home on Drummers Cove.
