Megan Hinton

Megan Hinton is a visual artist based in Wellfleet, Massachusetts. Hinton assembles materials in painting, printmaking, sculpture, and photography to reassemble personal and public narratives. Megan recently received her MFA from Mills College in Interdisciplinary Studio Arts where she was nominated by the faculty for The Dedalus Foundation Fellowship in Painting and Sculpture and won the Hung Lui MFA Prize.  Their work has been shown at Farm Project Space in Wellfleet, SOMArts Cultural Center in San Francisco, and The State University of New York Adirondack Visual Art Gallery.  Hinton is the recent recipient of The Alice C. Cole ’42 Merit Grant from Wellesley College, The Murphy Cadogan Scholarship from the San Francisco Foundation, and an artist residency from 20 Summers in Provincetown. Hinton has also received residency fellowships from The Women’s Studio Workshop, Les Amis De La Grande Vigne in France, and Frans Masereel Centrum, an International Printmaking Center in Belgium. Their work is in the collections of The Cape Cod Museum of Art and the Provincetown Art Association and Museum.  Megan is also an art writer, curator, educator, and lecturer.
